♥  That was a good fun pootle - I really enjoyed painting the little beach huts. There was a fair amount of tongue sticking out concentration, and a few wobbly lines that had to be done a few times but I got there in the end.
Here's the before:

                                                            .....cute but a little boring
                                                                 and here's the after....

                                                                  ♥   much better !

♥  Todays Pootle is all about our Caravan - not much action going on there right now due to the Mr E foot incident - and it looks a bit sad just parked up on the drive ( the caravan that is, not Dave's foot ! )

We're thinking we may just take a holiday in the drive - as that cuts out the driving bit which is what's presenting a bit of problem right now !
Anyway, in our lovely caravan we have the most beautiful set of fairy lights that you have ever seen, a little row of beach huts that I bought from the loveliest little shop in Lyme Regis when we were there a couple of months ago.

They hang just above our TV and they look so cosy when they're turned out, as if someone is inside each of them.

However .... beautiful though they were when I bought them they didn't quite match the colours in our caravan and that is SO important right ? So I painted them ! Just like decorating but on the tiniest scale ..
I do really love them but there's just one thing that niggles at me ... Beach Huts are supposed to be stripy -  and so that is today's Pootle !! I have scissors, masking tape and paint ... and I'm ready to start.

♥  So, as all true crocheters know, it is essential to have at least 3 projects on the go at any one time and this is one of my three. They need a little bit of blocking to make them in to proper triangle shapes but it will, when I have completed all the other flags, be made in to bunting for the conservatory at Nursery. I keep it at work and when it all gets a little stressful I have a quick 10 minutes of crochet therapy -and it always seems to do the trick!

♥  The pattern is Lucy's from Attic 24, and it is basically a Granny triangle instead of a Granny square. It's very satisfying to do as it is so quick. I then added a picot edge to add a bit of extra ta-dah.

First ever crochet post...

Ok, so here goes with my first crochet post - bit nervous - for a start who knew how difficult it was to get wool to stay still while you're trying to take a photo of it ?
So, these are the colours that I chose for my blanket

For a long time I have been wondering if I would be able to make a blanket like the beautiful ones that Julie makes on Little Woollie. The only way to find out was to have a go ... and I am totally loving it. I keep asking Dave if he is as in love with my blanket as I am - strangely, he isn't ! Anyway, I'm not going to let that put me off  ♥  There's lots of counting and checking that you still have the right number of stitches, but other than that you just kind of make it up as you go along and it is SUCH good fun.

Still a bit of a way to go but it grows very quickly because you ( well, I ) just can't put it down

It might make you very sneezy .. but it does look pretty. Lovely dog walk round the cricket pitch this morning.
